Susan Brown is  a Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW), freelance writer and educator living in Sacramento.  She loves sharing wine drinking anecdotes, reviews and recommendations on her citizen wine blog, Susan Brown Uncorked.

During the Covid19 pandemic of 2020, Susan’s two college-aged daughters Emma and Lily came home to shelter-in-place, leading to many more glasses of wine with her now “drinking daughters”.  This inspired her to pivot to a more “beginner” wine education platform on Instagram called @WhichWineMom.

Ms. Brown was a regular contributor to Edible Sacramento–a 2011 James Beard Foundation Publication of the Year (www.ediblesacramento.com), and contributed content to KidAround Magazine.   She has taught engaging wine appreciation classes at the Sacramento Natural Food Co-op, and has a ton of experience drinking a whole lot of wine with friends.

Susan has served as a wine judge for various local wine competitions, and the State Fair and has taken viticulture and oenology courses through UC Davis.
