Wine Samples 

Wine reviews/mentions are provided on a regular basis by Susan Brown, CSW.  On occasion, guest reviewers conduct tastings and submit their comments.  Reviews are seen by visitors to this website; they are also shared to Facebook at Susan Brown Uncorked and Twitter followers @susanbrownsac.

All samples are tasted and reviewed or mentioned, often with accompanying photos.  Palate’s are personal, and critiques unique.  Acceptance of wine by Susan Brown Uncorked does not imply that positive reviews will be made of any wine–even if Robert Parker likes it, we may not!  Often if a bottle is too aggressive, it may be given a day or 2 to soften. 

Wines are reviewed fairly and observed in terms of balance.  Aromas, flavors, acidity, sweetness, texture and finish are usually discussed and often comments related to price, value and availability are included.

Wine-Related NonFiction Literature

All books submitted for review by the author or publisher are skimmed for content.  If any book is determined to likely be of interest to the readership of Susan Brown Uncorked, it will be read in it’s entirety (exceptions include voluminious pieces of work).  Fictional pieces are occasionally reviewed.
