New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are the perfect opportunities to enjoy a sparkling wine cocktail.  To that end, I was asked to join News 10 in Sacramento on Sunday morning for a spot on these tasty concoctions.  Tune in during the 8:00am hour where I'll share 3 recipes using Prosecco, and 1 using sparkling apple cider for the youngers in your crowd.   I created this play on a mai tai with the help of my buddy Charlene–fortunately for me, she is ALWAYS willing to help when it comes to white wine and its sparkly cousin.  I hope this festive drink adds a touch of sunshine to your winter days.   Check back soon for the other recipes!  xoSB

Prosecco or Cava

3/4 oz dark rum

2 tsp Maraschino cherry juice from jar

Orange juice

Lemon twist

Place rum and cherry juice in a chilled champagne flute.  Fill glass to 2/3 full with Prosecco.  Top with a splash of oj and garnish with a lemon twist.
